Harper Mining is looking for Experienced Hard Rock Miners interested in joining our mining operations team. The miner will provide work directly to the safe operation of mining equipment, maintenance of equipment, and general labor support for all underground operations. This position requires experience as a multi-skilled equipment operator in a mining environment. Strict safety standards must always be followed.  

• Drilling and bolting for both development and rehabilitation using a jumbo 
• Lateral advancement for declining, in-stope development and infrastructure  
• Safely Operate Underground Mining Equipment in a Confined Space 
• Safely, Effectively, and Efficiently Work and Respond to Changing Conditions Within the Mine 
• Ensure Equipment and Tools are Utilized Safely and Responsibly 
• Follows MSHA and Company Safety Policies, Federal and State Laws, and Regulatory Standards 

• 5 years experience working in Underground Hardrock Mines 
• Current MSHA Underground Certification (5000-23) metal/non-metal (Required) 
• Post-Secondary School Training in Mining Studies or Similar Construction-Related Field 
• 2 years experience in Underground Construction Work, including: 

                      ->  Concreting

                      ->  Shotcrete 

                      ->  Jackleg Bolting

                      ->  Grouting 

                      ->  Fan Installations 

                      ->  Utilities

• Ability to Operate Heavy Equipment in Confined Spaces 
• Ability to Work Well in Confined Spaces 
• Reliable and Cautious 
• Ability to Work Well Under Pressure 
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills 
• Flexibility to Work Shifts that Include Nights and Weekends 
• Ability to Travel to Mine Site 
• Ability to Pick Up New Tasks Quickly 
• Use/Operate/Instruct the Use of Proper PPE Required for the Job  
• Follows Instructions and is a Good Communicator  
• Works Effectively and As a Leader of a Team 

• Primarily in Underground Mines 
• The Work Environment can be Cold, Dark, Humid and Noisy 
• Some Work Done in Small Spaces 
• Proper Use of Personal Protective Equipment 
• Teamwork and Being a Trusted Co-Worker is a Must
